C230 Sports Coupe
a Good night in the Coupe
Raced 2 cars last night and beat them both.
1. On the way to church a M3 pulls up to me(not new style but old style, 95-99?) and revs. I see the M3 badges but I wonder anyway at what the outcome may be. It was a stick. When it turned green hit almost instantaniously had 1 car on me, but suddenly i pulled on him and kept pulling till 80 when i was 2 cars ahead of him. I think it was most likely a 325, but it had M3 wheels and body kit. So i dont really know if it was real or not. If it would have been a real M3 i think it may have been alot closer.
2 Coming home from dinner, a 98 eclipse GST pulls up and asks about my car. I tell him its a sports coupe, and he replies "Its a nice car but it just sucks that my parents minivan could beat it!" I said "your mine at the light!" It was easy, easy kill. at the next light he pulls up and I say "not bad for a minivan huh!" Of course he was a typical rice-burner. Stickers, loud exhaust, big rims, clear lights etc etc etc.
Honestly I dont race that much, but I always will in someone else starts it.

Why would people use stupid comment's like "My parent's mini Van could beat it" ? I had a guy in a Honda S2000 telling me that "he could beat me in reverse" when i was driving the 400HP Supercharged mustang.. What was he thinking when he heard my exhaust?? that it was another Honda with big mufflers.. He looked pretty stupid when he was still sitting at the lights while i was almost at the other lights.. Good kill man. But have to becarefull with some of these guy's.. Some of them use nitrous and might spray us.

I really, really want to be supportive, but...
The GST should have killed you, espeically if he had any real mods. The auto's 0-60 time is what, 7.6-7.8 or so? Unless it had such heavy rims and other dumb mods that it rivaled the ccoupe's dead weight.
Also, I'd have to agree that it was a 325 at best; any M could also beat any ccoupe that's not yet modded (especially auto), unless you ran into two of the worst drivers in your area.
Finally, there was a '95 ti "club sport" that had a kit and m badges (very desirable ti, especially if you swap in an M engine, which is much less of a hassle and $$ than it used to be), so don't write off all ti owners as poseurs.

my last racing experience...
A few days ago, I was on Arvida Parkway liek at 3am in the morning, I stop in a red light and an auto 3.28 stopped at my side, some girl was driving it, she was about 17 years old, she started reving the engine; when the green light came we started racing, at the start she beat me like for a bout half a car (0-65) but after we got to 75 mph we were even, then I beat her by a bit when we reached about 90 mph... It was a really fun race, the girl was a pretty good driver, and I had fun watching her. I think I would have performed better if my car was stick but well, I didnt feel like waiting 5 months when I purchased my car.

From what I could tell the Eclipse was a auto too. I really need to get a pulley or a chip to really make thing interesting. But hopefully after this bodily injury case is settled I can maybe try to find a nice used C32. That would really blow peoples minds, a 4 door sedan with 5 sec 0-60 OH YEAH BABY!!

"That" is perfectly acceptable, however. It's just too bad there aren't cool roller blinds for the side windows as well as the roof!!
