Wiper Issue
My friend's wiper on his 2005 W203 is not working in position 1. Everything else is fine.
The mechanic says the sensor on the windshield is faulty. Interior lights are working fine though.
Anyone can help me on that?

Mine has the same problem. I have to turn it to the next click for it to come on. My interior lights don't currently work but I think its an unrelated prob so far. I'll be watching this for updates as to what might fix your issue.

I might have figured out the issue.
It most certainly has to do with the rain sensor on the windshield just behind the rear view mirror.
Remove the cover and disconnect the sensor. Large black box. Try again and see if it works.
