2001 c320
Motor swap
So I recently wrecked my 2001 c320.
car ran great and shifter flawlessly.
car is totaled.
I however have a 1950 ford truck with a 1978 jaguar xj suspension. I do not have a motor installed yet.
now with the 320 totaled and motor still salvageable I am thi king about installing it in the truck the the automatic transmission. I have swapped many motor in cars before but they have always been America cars.
Typically motor and harness and computer swapped over and maybe a trip to a local l
programmer but everything basically works.
not knowing the Mercedes electronics as well I am wondering is it pretty much the same kind of swap.
weld UK some motor mounts, crossmember, tuck computer in the cab somewhere and that's about it. Or is there more to it. Like does the key have to be used or what?
