W203 C-Class tech bulletins
ok, my ride is tripping out on me. first, the drivers side window wont go up after it is put down. the sunroof does not work for the horizontal positions but does work vertically. about 60% of the time the interior lights do not come on when i open the door and when this happens, the headlights dont come on in the AUTO mode, i have to switch them on manually. also, when this happens none of the interior lights work at all, i.e. rear seat lamps, map lights (the dashboard lights still work, though). the f****n' flip cupholder is broken. and finally there is a loiud ticking noise every time i turn the car off after driving it. its going into the shop this week and hopefully they can fix this b.s. anybody else having any of these problems??? any new tech updates???
all this for $40k+ ??
i filled the car up and it only shows 7/8's full. it drops to 0 very rapidly. last week, i filled the tank w/ only 10 gallons. today, after the low gas warning, only 7 gallons (different stations)...


i think i have the fuel sensor problem. i've been keeping an eye on it and it behaves very erratically.

I had the same problem during the summer. I could fill to 3/4 full. Then, the problem was gone and hasn't returned since.

We've been looking for dealer techs who can help provide technical bulletin info. Problem is, they are so few, that when such a person identifies themselves as a tech, they get overwhelmed with tons of questions.
If anyone out there is a dealer tech and wants to help, please PM me, and we'll brainstorm ways we can protect your sanity with some form of anonymity.

Could you possible provide more info on the bulletin:
-Engine runs rough after coming to a stop or hesitates accelerating, updated ME control unit. Does not apply to C230 or AMG models.
I have this problem I think (see my post on the subject).

I get this too....I've always wondered what it is...
you can hear a motor operating too like an electric attenna retracting.....
Does anyone have the info on this TSB pleeeeeeease.

My warranty runs out in 2 weeks and the dealer is fobbing me off.

Lets face it, if I drive a MB I expect it to be quiet, but if I drive a Ford/Chevy I will live with a little noise...but does that really make Chevy better than MB just because I dont complain about the noise it makes?

Here is what my invoice read verbatim; punctuation and all.
.10342 software in ME control unit 4.5 straight time short test has no eng codes. Flash ME2.8 as per bulletin # P-B-07.00\28F. Obtain SCN coding prior to flashing as per bulletin S-B-07.61\27A. After flashing tip start is inop, eng runs poorly and ESP light is on code in ME is P207B read fault from trans control unit. Trans has no codes.ME will not accept SCN coding found on NETSTAR. Called TAC and found out you need to use new part number of ME after flashing. Obtained correct SCN numbers coded control unit and all is OK.
Still having problem. Engine died on the way from dealer. And this is after I ran the tank dry: MFD read 0 miles for about 2 miles. I stopped at a different gas station and filled up.
