Towing Capacity and receiver

but dammit, never sold in USA.
It is available in other countries.
The bad news is it's STUPID expensive, at least from the
factory.
I had a quote once from this guy in the Netherlands that sells
EU only parts to USA and it was like
800 for the hitch and 900 for the electricals
which is a new rear SAM with the connections for the
lights.
One has to wonder if it wouldn't be possible to
get one used these from Europe.

If I were to tow with our w203, I wouldn't exceed the hitch's class I specification (i.e. 2k pounds, 200 pounds tongue weight). Towing is a serious matter and, if something is to go wrong, you will have serious legal liability so use your best judgement/caution. Also, please lookup the rules/regulations in whichever state you live/plan to operate in.
