Needed: Window Tinting referrals
Does anyone know of a reputable window tinting company that I can trust to do a good job?
Someone willing/able to tint the windshield would be nice too.

Do NOT forget to Install Moleskin on the side windows..helps prevent the scratches on the film when rolling the windows down

its like a felt that the apply to the door. it is sticky on one side, like a tape so it stays in place. the felt side touches the window. otherwise the tint would scratch and leave marks.

I've heard that tinting the rear window (at least for the coupe not sure about sedan) may affect the strength of radio signal, and may even decrease the distance at which your key can unlock/lock doors.

1) Repeatedly brushed up against my car with their chairs as they were working. Put on a bunch of scratches on the side that took me some serious polishing to get out.
2) Melted a piece of plastic lining on the window from carelessness.

my rear window is tinted and i havent found any problems as far as radio signal or unlocking the car. would the metallic type tint, silver or whatever be more apt to cause such problems?

its dark in the back. im not sure about the ratings but its dark. in the pic my roof is open and still not much light.

I just had mine done using the guys I've been using for over 16 years. They did the moleskin, were aware of all the quirks of MB's and do quite a few of them a day. I even used metallic tint and have had NO issues with radio or key/lock reception.
The tint they use has a lifetime warranty and their quality of workmanship is top notch.
They're local here in San Diego but they travel to you and will do the install at your home or office or wherever. You can call and if Carlos doesn't pick up, leave him a message and he'll get right back to you. As soon as I have a chance to take pics I'll put them up of my car w/ the tint. I went 35% all the way around.
