And I have this one and it works with MB and any other car I tried it with. Not every scanner works with MB, ask before buying. OBD 2 is a standard but different manufacturers have different protocols.

I've used it to view and reset codes on several cars. I use it to look at what's going after putting a mod on (air filter, pulley, muffler, intercooler, etc). Since it works on all my cars, it easily will pay for itself over time.

I have a 2003 C240 w/ 6 speed and I picked up the Innova equus 3130 Scantool based on this recommendation:

The Equus 3130 is no better than any other scantool, maybe worse. It links with my car and 2 seconds later it says link lost. The unit does not support USB and cannot be upgraded over a serial port.
Can anybody recommend a good unit that works well with Mercedes cars?

The 3130 can be updated.
If you want USB compatibility you need the 3130b

It is one of the most popular scanners on this board.
Let me tell you a secret. Most scanners use the same guts from one plant in Taiwan. They then get cases & Branding as requested.
