2002 C230 Kompressor Coupe
Shift Knobs
Hi all,
Just picked up a 2002 C230 Coupe and wanted to know if anyone can suggest or knows which aftermarket shift knobs fit on car?
Thanx

Did you get the Evolution package? Manny, or girly slushbox?
If you have a non-Evo manny, I think that the leather boot is glued to the base of the knob, which could make swapping messy.
If you have a Evo manny, both Brabus and Renntech make knobs, but they're pricey. Search for a pic of my Renntech one - it's pretty nice, and is polished aluminum. Brabus' knob is more circular, and is charcoal leather. In case you haven't looked yet, the knob is overengineered, and you don't just unscrew it. So, Momo or other typical brands won't work without excessive labor and machining.
If it's a slushbox, I would assume same answers as above, but don't know for sure.
Good luck!

I like the RennTech shifter you put in your Coupe, Mr. t, but I can't find the Renntech website under www.renntech.com or www.renntech.de? Wait - I got it, let me try google...
BTW, how'd you make out at CST leather with the shift boot in blue leather? You MUST have it by June 29 for the Quad-State Benz Meet!
Hey, I got a matching swatch Irony aluminum watch with Orion Blue face! Bought it at the watch station on the World Trade Center concourse last summer. I'll post a pic of it along with my by now 3 months old Coupe if it would only not begin to rain right after every time I wash the friggin' car!! Tuesday, I didn't wash it (it's dirty as dirt) and, see? It hasn't rained in days...
If this was an SUV forum, I wouldn't have to worry about that...the messier, the merrier.

Um, are you people daft?
It's right here, silly people.
CST is working on the boot - should be ready by next weekend. I think it'll really finish off the interior nicely (at least until I talk to AI Designs about alcantara for the headliner, pillars, and visors - might be going for the whole pimp daddy look )
