Considering leasing for the first time.

BUT how do you negotiate the leasing price (NO DOWN payment..etc) when they say they're running a national deal for $349/mo?

Any info will be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

You should start with what you think the sales price should be for that exact vehicle, subtract the residual value, divide by # of months in lease. Good Luck!

Thank...But....

My dealership says the $3300 drive off, 12K mi/yr, $349/mo for 42 mo. on 05' C230K is non-negotiable as it's the best deal right now.

Automatic, Sun-roof, not sure about a CD changer.

However, I can use my C-Spot $1500 off coupon on it.

Is this a good deal? Any ideas?

Thanks.

Jkw is right. Ask for SALES PRICE and % of Residual(from MSRP, not sales price). The different of the 2 + interest rate is your total payment. (ex. tax and Lic.)

You should start from the INVOICE on 2005. For 2003-4, you can start few thousands below invoice and work your way. I heard people are offering at $150 above invoice on 05 C230k now before the coupon.
Good Luck!

Wear And Tear

What's considered normal wear and tear and how do you guys deal with scratches and small dings on the car if you were to lease them?

I think any dings less than a 1/2 inch in size and no paint loss is okay (no more than 2-3 dings per panel).
Scratches no loss paint and no more longer then Business card size (+/- 2 inches) seems okay.
It all depend on the manufacture. My last Audi had 0% wear tread left on the tires (u can see the steel wires on the front tires), 2-3 bump scratches and 2 dings on the side, and they took it back with no question ask.
As long as you take care the car like your own (keep everything stock) and kept it shine when the inspection, you should be okay.

@DL_AMG: how do you find invoice price for an 05 c230k? Edmunds.com does not have 2005 info yet. Is there another source?
