god, i dont know why people are fighting over the C32 vs sport look a like. As a matter of fact on my old 02 330CI i got the 18" M rims, M spoiler, and the M side view mirrors. The reason I bought them was becuase they looked good, i was not trying to a be M3 wanna be.
An AMG will always be an AMG you cannot take a C230 and add some exterior moldings and make it look like an AMG. Also the AMG models have the AMG brakes, which is one thing you can look for. As far as the difference go here is one you can look for, the new 05 grills have 3 rows the old C32 grills have 4 rows. Also the C32 come with a different set of wheels.

I don't get it... What's the big deal about this 05 looking like C32's??? If you're pissed off with them then drive a C32 then blow the doors off every 05 C230 you see... Let them know who's the boss... I think MB's selling'em with the AMG body kit on because they do look nice and make it look more sporty. I also love the so-called "Mustang wheels"... I don't get it, plus the people who buy the 05 C230's don't really have a choice but to get it with the body... Why you hating?

i was with my mom today and we saw an 05 c230 with the mustang looking wheels on it and she said why does that mercedes have mustang wheels...And i didnt even tell her that i thought the looked like that....I said thats the new c230 sport wheels.... she said thank god you dont have those

I don't know, when I first saw those wheels I didn't think of'em as Mustang Wheels... It's only after I got on the forum... Like I've said, the normal Mustang GT wheels aren't like that... It's the MACH ones that have'em... O well, to each their own.

ima post my final thought on this issue i guess after some thinking.
I guess it really shouldnt matter. as people said and AMG is an AMG. In a way I think this decreases the amount of posers that will buy AMG just the looks rather than the performance. Im sure if i ever drive one i wouldnt care if every c class in world LOOKS like a C32. so if your happy with your car and how it looks you shouldnt care about others.
