They are 6 1/2" front and rear of the door. I don't know what size the tweeter is. I replaced mine with Polk medium end speakers and they sounded worse. Went back to stock.

Thats what I thought. I have a pair of Kicker 6X9s and a pair of Kicker 6 1/2 Components. They both should fit right?

No, the 6 x 9's won't fit.

You can make anything fit with enough effort and a sawzall. It's just that the 6 1/2" speakers can bolt right up. You'll need ring spacers also.

Save the money, the stock speakers are really good for there size and optimized for the spaces in the door that they are mounted in.

Just the kind of advice I'd expect from someone who actually bought Polk speakers. After you are fininshed with the pulley project, perhaps you could use your sawzall to investigate the possibility of fitting a Daimler-Benz 603 V-12 into a coupe.

It would be hard for even a sawsall to get those 6x9s to fit. Sell 'em and save the headache.

No way dude, a Daimler-Chrysler Hemi is what that bad boy needs. The pulley is just low hanging fruit, something I throw on there that's cheap that will keep the car interesting.

I would not recommend trying to make the 6X9 fit. You will get a headache in sure.
Buellwinkle: I think if you use a amp on the Polk Audio, they should sound really good.
I heard Polks before and they sound awesome.
