Bi xenon low beam issues

Hello all! My driver side bi xenon low beam (2003 c240 wagon) is out. Trouble shooting ruled out the bulb. Replaced the ballast and voila, light was restored... For 6 months. Now it's out again. Replaced the igniter, and still nothing. Going to swap the ballast from the passenger side to rule that out as an issue, but in the mean time has anyone had a similar issue? If it is the ballast again, what's causing it to die so quickly?!? The original lasted 15 years... Any help would be GREATLY appreciated.

Also, if I need to replace the whole assembly, who knows of a good plug and play led kit?

It has to be either the ballast, bulb, or igniter.

The original W203 igniters were known to crap out. I had to modify mine with a different igniter.

Read post #5 of this thread.

Which ultimately means its the ballast again. I just really don't want to have to replace the ballast every six months. I guess the one could've just been faulty, so here is to hoping haha
thanks!

I'm actually sitting on one of those new igniters! Trouble being all of the wires are black!!! Is there a diagram somewhere? Magnetti marelli didn't include one 🙅

Update! Switched the ballasts around and pinpointed it to a faulty ballast. Have another one on the way that's warranted for a year this time. Fingers crossed it doesn't take a dive like the first replacement. At least I'll get my money back if it does. Thanks again!

Crossing my finger too, Got my Bix used, and still original everything except bulbs.
What did the part cost?

$38. Not too shabby. I have two working headlights again!
