What's the difference between C sports sedan and C luxury sedan?
#2
sport sedan is more sporty, luxury sedan is more luxurious!!
sport sedan comes w/things like sport wheels, amg body kit, aluminum trim, sport suspension, etc, while the luxury comes with wood trim, etc.
I'm sure others can give you a more in-depth comparison

If you're comparing the two for purchase, get the sport....the inside of the sport is wayyy to luxurious for me as it is ..and wood trim, who cares. The only time I would get wood trim is if I had a S class

The sport sedan is lowered about 1", has aluminum trim instead of wood, has aluminum pedals, has blue tinted windows, 17" wheels that are staggered (rear is wider than the front), different steering wheel, brembo brakes with cross drilled rotors and handles better with the sport suspension.
The luxury sedan has pretty ugly 16" wheels, is 1" taller for better ground clearance, wood trim on the console and doors.

It might because when I was at the dealer talking about the 05 he had mentioned something about the brakes being upgraded (wasn't really paying attention, I just kept hitting the rear sunshade button :p )

I have a feeling the lowered part was probably made up by someone in marketing.
Go and drive both cars and decide which one you like best. They both have their plusses and minuses.

i liked the Luxury Sedan more. I would get it and then Change the Wheels and get some springs. I doubt the sport suspension is actually any different then the non sport. either way both rims are butt ugly. Also remember MB never makes sport pkgs! They make "Appearance pkgs". of course they cant call it C230 Appearance Sedan

All MB's except the C-coupe come with real leather seating surfaces, no difference between sport/luxury, no difference between C230 and E500. I know how you feel, I can't stand sitting on cow hides but that's the only way I can get the sedan. I'll probably get seat covers before the summer heat sets in. The best scam that MB has on their Cs and Es, is the premium leather option. For about $1,500, they also cover the headrests and door panel pieces in leather as well as the thin strips along side the seat and seat back center panels. Some people even think the whole seat is leather, not even on the S class. The best leather is on the AMG's, that's almost acceptable leather for me, nahh, seat covers!

Don't know much about the 2005's but my 2004.5 C230 sedan came with leather standard, just not premium leather and back in 2004, premium leather gives you leather door pieces, headrest and thin pieces next to the perforated panels on the surface. It's not all leather, just reach down between the seat bottoms and center console, it's cloth there. Regardless, whatever leather is on my car is real, just not as much as with the premium leather option.

The only diference in the Coupe is the leather door panels are not the poofy ruffled stuff that is in the sedans, but it is still leather. MB-Tex is now standard on the 2005 C Coupe as it is on the C230 Sedan and C240 Sedans. No more cloth!!!!!
