Painting Mesh?
I'm planning on taking my car to get the mesh painted on my car to match the 2005 grill. I would like input onto whether this would look good or not. As for the plastic that is on the outside edges of the bumper, im planning on having it masked and those lines pained to look like the center mesh since the ridges are already there. what do you think. would this look ok? im looking at having it done tuesday if i have it done.
this is what they look like black!

I want to pull the front bumper and get some 'ricer' mesh and either:
1. replace all 3 plastic pieces and make mounting brackets
2. wrap the exisiting platic pieces with the mesh and re-attach. The black plastic shouldn't be noticable against the aluminum 'ricer' mesh.
Someone has done something like 2 where they cut aluminum siding mesh to the size of the openings and attached to the black plastic with wire.

that ive been giving serious consideration as well. i looked at the mesh up close and the side area where the fog lights are i think would look good. i may have to do a bit of dremmeling to make holes at attach the new onto the existing. the center one is already for attaching, it just a matter of cutting the mesh. ive seen this done on audi's and VW's. atleast if it doesnt look good on the center i can pull it off. im still indecided, for now im keeping them black. the more i think about the more "iffy" i get on the idea. i may try the metal first and see how i like it.

I looked up from under the car when I changed the sway bars and there's not enough room to disconnect the centre mesh with the front bumper still on.
I'm only undecide if I want to cover the fog lights with the mesh and maybe spray them with a light coat of smoke to hide the fog lights.

yeah i kinda assessed the situation before while putting on my sways, and again when my brother installed REX000's sways. im not really sure as of yet. if i did do the metal mesh, then i would cut around the foglight to re-create the look it has now.

Black C 240
Please post photos when you are done with either idea. I have a black car and the mesh is black - so it provides no interest like the black mesh on a silver car or even on your car. I am interested in the paint idea.
My 2001 330 Cic BMW had painted mesh from the factory (titanium paint color - not metalic paint however) and it looked great - but the part was designed for that purpose...so I am interested to see what it looks like when done.

Both switches, do you have anything else on the seats like what the sedans have?
I am looking at putting the CLK seats with multifunction pneumatic controls, and the 3 position 10 way door switches in the Coupe door panels.
