I have just aquired a 2004 c230k sport coupe in poker game. It has no check engine light just SRS and service interval reminder. The fan runs as soon as it's started, it doesn't overheat. It runs and drive good shifts through all gears fine until after about 10-15 mins of driving then it will neutral up and not move. I must wait 3-5 mins and restart the car and I'll briefly have usage of transmission. I've tried to scan it with xentry and unable to communicate with any module in detail. With the quick scan the only module that doesn't return a "- ! -" is the Electronic Transmission Control unit which has the following codes stored:

P2502
P220A
P2300

I will be checking the fluid level and connector for fluids later .

 

So to update, I replaced the conductor plate and valve body with used one from a 722.6 transmission removed from 3.5l Dodge charger. Now it shifts fine no problem with coding necessary . I will later try and see if my c3 can connect
