Saying goodbye to my W203. Replacing it with a X204 GLK

The time as finally come. It is just not worth it anymore. I got close to 300,000 miles of solid and reliable driving out of my 2005 C240 4Matic. I purchased it CPO back in 2007 with just 40,000 miles. Exhaust started rattling like crazy today. Put it up on the lift and found the entire system will need to be replaced. At this age and miles it is just not worth it anymore even thou this has been a daily beater/run around town type of car. New exhaust will be more then the car is worth along with a oil pressure light that keeps coming on and the stepper motor in the dash. Car has very little rust on the body and the inside is worn but not in that bad of shape. Body has a couple minor scratches and some paint work on the bumper will be needed. Dealer will not even take it so I will maybe sell it or part it out on here(More details soon). Overall I have to say this has been the most reliable car other then my 123's and 126's that I have ever owned. Never once did it not start or leave me stranded even when the alternator went out it would still start until I replaced it. Anyways, I replaced it with a 2015 GLK350 4Matic. Polar White on Tan with just 20,000 miles. Has nearly every option and was over $52,000 when brand new. Parking sensors, Navigation, Heated seats and steering wheel, Backup camera, pano roof, blind spot, push start, lane keeping, attention assist. I put a huge deposit down and will be traveling to pick it up Saturday. Very excited and will post pics! I will clean up my W203 and post it in the For Sale Section.

Congrats on your new ride. I hope it treats you as well as the old one did.

Not worried at all to be honest. 1 owner car. 20,000 miles. Under warranty. Plus 2015 is a last year car with a proven powertrain.
