Picked up this high mileage 203 after a customer of the shop decided he didn't want to fix it; Has all the typical 203 issues. Needed a left fuel sender, leaking oil at the vac pump, steering tilt lock broken, door pulls broken, etc. I'm was going to flip it but I took it home and the wife fell in love with it so now she has a new Mercedes. Installed the new fuel sender and repaired column lock. Luckily the column was fixed with the pin in the hole trick. Sometimes the entire sliding rail breaks and it's a pain to change. Next weekend I'll be pulling the blower to replace leaking hoses causing my lean codes. Good times.
Payed $500 but I've already spent another $250 for the fuel sender and Ill have at least another couple hundred to fix all the little stuff like the door handles, remove the super charger to fix leaking hoses, needs lower control arm bushings, plus Ill have to spend an entire Saturday or more to do it all. Other than the small mechanical issues, its a peach. Interior is mint, seats are in great shape, Phoenix car it's hole life, so ZERO rust. It's not really a bargain all things considered. It MIGHT be worth $2,000 if I fix everything.
