2003 MB c240 Broken eis
Hello guys i really need help i have a 2003 mercedes c240 and someone try to rob the car but they only toom the radio but they distroy my ignition switch so i dont know what can i do! Some people on ebay have the ecu with the eis with key but only for mercedes c320 and tbey said it will fit! Please any one was a better solution please i really need help its my only car and its no way can afford a new car

Well, that's a matter of how handy you are and how broken it is.
If you just buy another used EIS, it won't work without that you replace a load more stuff but there is a fair chance that it can be made to work if you dismantle your old one and swap the circuit board over to it.
The bits with the codes in that would otherwise cause the car to be a write off are on that board and if the electronics are not broken, then replacing all the bits around them ought to work. I am guessing that the outside of the eis has been physically trashed but with a few hours patient work, I think it is worth a try. Make sure that you get one from a W203 and that yours has an undamaged circuit board.
