Good Morning

I recently acquired a C180 Kompressor, 2005 Model, Avantgarde

I reside in South Africa

can someone please tell me what the below means

does it mean that my vehicle has been pre wired for an aux connection

or does it mean that there is an existing active aux connection

I have looked everywhere from the glove compartment to the centre console

and cannot find any aux input

if not, then you need to remove headunit and trace the AUX cable...

Yes, it does mean there is an Aux connection to the radio. Your car being a 2005 will not have the appropriate connection already installed in the glove box. You need to pull up the carpet on the passenger side of the car and find a white connector, you have to order the aux cable from the dealer to fit into this connector. After this you can install the aux wire through the glove box aux hole (which you have to punch out) on the left hand side.

another way to do it is to order the ipod integration kit from mb (or online) it has a 30pin connector that goes in place of that aux, the thing is that you can order a bluetooth to 30-pin adapter and add bluetooth to your car. beauty of this is that the ipod integration kit's 30-pin carries power for the BT so you dont need to install additional power. even better is that you can control your audio via the steering wheel controls and see the track/title on the dash display.
