Warning Triangle Install Picture

Okay,
So it was not so bad, you just REALLY have to pull down on the outside snap clip more than I initially wanted to! Also there are TWO small snap / hooks that hold the handle in place on the lower (when trunk is open and you can work on it) trunk frame, you must roll them up and out when you remove the handle!
I DID NOT cut a circular hole in this clip, nor did I disassemble the triangle holding bracket, as there is no need. What I did, was looked to the back of the trunk liner, noted it was for the USA market...and then moved on. The OEM did press in the cut out shape that the triangle market was to have, so I carefully cut it out small, and then slowly made it larger by referencing the holding bracket, until the bracket would fit in the hole. Investigating the bracket you can see how Mercedes-Benz left the material thickness of the liner in the bracket back. Also this is the main way to retain the liner to the trunk once you reinstall it.
Once I cut everything out with clean X-Acto blades, I reinstalled the liner, and put the triangle clip in last. You have to press it in hard, and push it to the right to set it in the snaps...and then you have the final product!
I like how with the added weight the trunk does NOT fly up...rather just opens when you want it open...I MAY go in and adjust the spring tension rates, as they are set in the middle hole, and I can go one more either side...that may help POP the trunk...
Thanks all! Good luck!

Hmm i guess a lot of people have time on there hands now adays. But the Warning Triangle i guess may be cool to some people. Is it really worth all that time and money just for a Triangle in your trunk? My trunk lights up in BLUE neons looks like an alien lives inside. LOL
