Fuel gauge inconsistent
Hi guys. When I fill my c240 with gas and let it run until it clicks off, the fuel gauge never reaches max. At most it gets to 3/4 tank. Also when I do this I can smell gasoline from the outside of the car. Also, the gauge will move quite a bit on its own, disproportionate to the amount of fuel being used. I have a code for fuel level sensor 1 being jammed. Is this just a matter of physically releasing it? Or can I get away with a a bottle of techron and a full tank of gas??

You may need a new fuel sending unit that is inside the tank. I believe it is accessible from under the back seat.
