Dealer Carwasher?

Do any of you trust the dealer to wash your car without messing anything up? The dealer I would be going to is Fletcher Jones.

sometimes i get a good wash, sometime not so good. depends on how busy it is. there have been times they havent vacuumed the backseat, or dried it off completely. if you want a free wash go for it. remember its free!! so dont expect a $30 wash, because its free. if i want a free wash i go to penske. if i want a good wash, which i know is up to my standards, i do it. ive never had anything messed up at the dealer washes. just minor things such as not dried completely or shotty vacuum job.

Missing my beloved Benz
me again

I love when my dealer washes my car. They dry it completely and wax it. I hold out and wait until it goes in for service, and then put my car cover over it to keep it all nice and clean afterwards. Never had a problem with them, except they use to put that shinny stuff on the tires. I insisted they stop because it would make the bottom of the car black, after driving for two hours.

But sometimes, when they were done, you'd notice your door sills and lower door panels all dirty and stuff. I hate that. But in general, they do a good job. But because of the scruffing, I'd personally prefer to wash it myself. :v

I Would PASS on Fletchers car wash....
EVEN with a SIGN inside the Instrument cluster that said PLEASE DO NOT
Wash ...It Would get washed..They used the dirty mits from washing the
Brake dust on the paint and left Swirls/Scratches on the car.....
Oh Yeah they washed the car with the bra on it....I said do you want me to
take it off ....they said oh our guys will take care of that..they forgot and
the hood was stained from that fine wash job..

I No Longer Use Fletcher Jones...Bigger is NOT Better!!!!!!

MB of Laguna Niguel does an excellent job of washing the car, at least as good as the local car wash, just $12 cheaper and they provide a nicer environment with beverages, pastries, plasma TV and lots of cars too look at. I wouldn't think of getting an MB if not for the car washes. Don't know about Fletcher but they do have WiFi, wish MB of LN would get it.

Anybody have experience with Caliber Motors in Anaheim? I was always thinking about getting one from them, but I've always ended up at a normal hand-wash place.

Are you allowed to any dealer you want even if you didn't buy the car there and still get the free car wash? Do you need to present anything in order to get the wash?

No dealer car wash is good. They use dirty rags (full of crap from previous cars) and push their bodies onto your car paint, causing swirls and swirls. If you're the type of person that doesn't give a crap, then go for it. If you care, then wash it yourself.

I won't let them wash either of my cars anymore. They got lazy and ranit through the machine wash (not brushless) and now they're buffing the scratches/swirls out.

As some have already said, NEVER let Fletcher Jones wash your car. They swirled my paint really bad. I talked to one of the managers there and he told me that it wasn't possible that they scratched my car because they use some sort of exotic chammois to dry the cars, he told me they were eel skin I explained to him that no matter what towel you use, that after washing that many cars with the same towel that its going to get dirty enough to swirl the paint.

My SA is really cool and agreed to give me a free detail.. they polished the car for me, fixed some of the swirls, but they left buffer marks all over the car.

Lesson learned, my SA makes sure that they don't touch my car.

Other than the washing issues Fletcher Jones has given absolute top notch service when fixing the small problems I've had on my cars. And in the case where they messed up my paint, they tried their best to fix it.

IMO the best car wash you can ever give your car is the one you do yourself

As for wax I use P21S. I also like Mr Clean Autodry, cept the nozzle is so big, its kinda dorky

I never let anyone but me wash my car....I use that Mr Clean it really is the best....I found that the best wax for my car is Eagle One Nano It takes the scratches right out and makes the color really deep and puts a great shine on it

I just go to my local car wash. They do a horrible job but since my paint is silver you cant see the millions of swirls or scratches.

At least get a metallic black so the swirls won't be as obvious.
