Slow crank and start on coldstart
2006 c230 sport with 135k miles. MAF was replaced 2 years ago. I have codes 1200 and 1208 for balance shaft or stretched timing chain, but after investigation with the dealer and correct base timing, it looks like they may be caused by cam adjusters.
In the morning on a coldstart, when i turn the key, it cranks slower than usual and hesitates maybe 1 full second before turning on. It will idle a bit higher than usual, but levels out after about 10 seconds. this started maybe two weeks ago. It turns on normally throughout the day after the first cold start. No timing chain rattle or abnormal sounds on startup. Just hesitates a second and cranks slower than usual.
Plugs are pretty old, and throttle body has never been cleaned. Think if I clean the MAF, throttle body, and replace the plugs, it could help? Maybe the battery?
I have no other codes than the 1200 and 1208.
