Cover center console lid in leather

I found this thread with information on the “facelift” center console lid. The vinyl cover on mine is worn and I am planning to recover it with leather. Has anyone done this or a similar job and have any information or suggestions before I start?
Thanks
There are two good fabric houses that supply OEM MBTEXT...but a used rear armrest should work!

Regarding the material - I recently swapped in some seats from a C63 AMG, and the entire front of the seat is "Napa" leather. My goal is to find leather that closely matches the C63 seats. I had to re-dye the seats to hide some cosmetic flaws, and I have some of the dye leftover for use on this project. Even though the front seats are leather and the rears is MB-Tex, the color match is pretty good. Most of the time no one is the back seat.
I had a custom headrest cover made for my integrated rear child seat bolsters...
The armrest shouldn’t be too bad, my only concern would be the change in tolerance for hinge, lock, inner cover, etc.
That said, here are two thoughts on material supplies...

If you’ve never wrapped a part, I’d practice and try to YouTube it...on this, it’ll be the corners for sure getting to sit. Might need some warming...and, underneath, as you wrap and form creating and pulling in the corners, your material will need to be cut resembling pennant flags.
Your seat swap is awesome and again, thank you for the detailed post!
