‘03 C230 Kompressor Coupe Aftermarket Headlight Options

Hello,

I’m looking to buy a set of aftermarket headlights for my 2003 C230 Kompressor Coupe. I’ve stumbled across a few options, and was looking for second opinions on what I should go with.

I’ve attached some pictures of my car and some of the headlights I’m looking at. I’m leaning towards the chrome halos, but have also heard good things about Xenon HID headlights.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

DEPO headlight unit paired with quality HID conversion kit and LED city lights and a beer. We can help you with HID conversion kit, and maybe some beer recommendations.

What's with the black stripes? Are you trying to make it look more ghetto? While you're at it, strip the paint off the bumpers and get some steel wheels.

It just looks like you're too poor to afford painted trim. You should add a C180 badge to the back. Maybe delete the passenger side mirror.

LOL

Ha, all the hatin' on the stripes.
Doesn't look so bad...to each his own.
The car looks great! Very well taken care of!
As far as headlights, those prices seem rather high.
You could probably source some used OEM Bix for that.

I got a 10% coupon on ebay the other day for "Select Auto Parts"
coupon code is JEGS4YOU .
No idea if will work, but those Bix knockoffs usually go for for like 3 bills.

Real Bix don't come in black but people have been known to disassemble them and paint them.
Getting them apart involves putting in an oven at low temp to soften the glue holding them together.
Thread around here somewhere....
Real bix will require setting the ECU coding to Bix present, gotta find someone with SDS.

Yer gonna want some clear side markers, and clear foglamp lenses to match the clear lights....
All info is here somewhere....and also some 2005 tail lights. Look much better!!
I painted the inside of my fog housings silver and put clears on them...lens
thread is is like from 2007 if you can find it. Back then they were only like 10 bucks a piece.

Thanks! I had the whole car repainted to get rid of all the stone chips and rust.

There’s a ton of headlight options for the sedan model that are significantly cheaper. With the coupe headlights they all seem to run much higher for some odd reason. Do you have a link to the OEM Bix?

Appreciate the help

OEM bix just have to keep your eyes open on ebay...
I'm sure you could buy them new for like 3 grand or something ridiculous.
i waited what felt like forever to get mine, and a former forum member "Blake" was selling his car, and
I swapped Bix plus facelifted tails and mirror blinkers, + installed my old stuff in his
PLUS gave him $600. And I did all the work....it took all day. Down the wire....
It was an epic day, thread around here somewhere...

Back in the day there were NO aftermarket lights for Coupe for sooo long.
I wrote a letter to Depot and said wtf?
Are you uys not aware that over 250K of these cars were built and you
are missing out big time! Don't know if they read it, but not long after they had coupe lights!
