Update on +4 plugs

I think spending $30-$40 on testing spark plugs is not a big deal. If the plugs are no good, put the original ones back. That's all!!!! +4 might be suck in some high-rev engines, like Type-R engine, but it could be good in the others. I had put Splite Fire plugs in my old Mazda. It was suck too. But I won't say Splite Fire is really suck. I would say it just doesn't fit my car. If everything is as simple as some members think, everyone could be the automobile engineer or the spark plug engineer. The stock plugs used in C230 are NGK IFR6D10. They cost around $6 bucks for 2. The cost is the main factor for a car manufacturer to control their production expenses. If someone doubts that why MB put poor plugs, not the good ones, that is the reason. That is why GM, Ford and Chrysler are cheaper in price, quality and reliability. Does the ad bull**** all the time? If you say YES, why you buy a MB????

Now, back to the main topic, the overheat issue is gone since I found that one of the plugs is not tight enough. That causes the heat transfer problem. The operating temperature is back to normal.

Ahwang,

I totally agreed with you on that issues. And it also not a waste of money anyway on the +4 because Bosch has a 100% money back guarantee if you don't like it. I love the +4 plugs.

+4

The stock part for the 97 M3 from BMW was +4. They are good enough plugs for BMWs M division.

I just bought a set from the BMW dealership, sure I paid too much, but then again I knew they were the exact replacement part for the M3. When I took the old ones out at 60000 mi and they still looked good enough that I could have put them back in, I knew I had made the right decision. Every 60000 miles (5 years) your car deserves $50 wasted on it. No worries.
