A/C step motor fixed now I cant control blower motor speed

Hello, I need to assistance on weather to change out my blower motor regulator or if its something else. I repaired the a/c step motor that causes the loud clicking, I believe its the one for the floor blend flap. After fixing it, the blower motor stays on at a constant speed and when turned off. It will even run with the key out for about 1 minute. I don't have a good enough code reader to look for any codes for this. I tried to do a flap reset for all the step motors but i think there is still 1 bad motor that is sticking and wont complete the cycle. Can the blower motor issue be related to the recent step motor repair or is this a separate issue? Its the girlfriend's car so I cannot monitor the problems closely but I remember a few weeks ago being in the car before the repair and the blower motor would cut off for a minute or 2 and come back on, so I'm thinking there was a problem with the blower motor or regulator stating to happen. The rest button is not stuck and is set to off. Thanks ahead for any input.

If you go by part number or just search eBay for a used blower motor from a 2010 W204 it will be perfect fit.

I think the replacement motor for my 2008 C300 came from a 2010 C63.

Sounds like the control circuitry for the blower has failed. Fan speed has nothing to do with what the step motors do. Before that, however, I would check the wire connections to the back of the HVAC control unit.

Congrats on replacing the stepper motor though. That job is a real pita.
