How much for all the pieces? Any reprogramming needed? Does the standard key fob open the trunk remotely?

I am waiting on the motor and wire harness. I will post everything when I get it in. Also, the dealer told me that there is not a single 209clk with trunk closer so this would make it harder to order parts. This option is from a 209 CLK.

Standard Keyfob opens trunk and I am not sure about closing it though. There is the button in the trunk area anyway.

I estimated 800 in parts with harness, control module, switches, trim, motor, and latch. All parts are from a 209 CLK. Since we share a common chassis, it should be easy. Will have to wait for the motor to come in and see. There is mounting place on top of rear SAM if you can pull the lining a bit. There are 3 mounting points for the motor.

I have seen it on a S class. Stopped in front of me, popped its trunk then closed right back. I wonder if thats his way of saying "HI" ?!

This is not possible for the coupe at all, only sedans.

On a more serious note, how much were all the components? Also, is it that difficult of an install? I would guess that there are wires that need to be run and such. My mom's S500 came from the factory without that option, and maybe if it's not too expensive/difficult I may want to retrofit her car with a similar kit.

The s class setup is different adn WAY more expensive becuase it's a hydraulic system becuase of door weight. I estimated mine at 800 bucks. Also, the wiring all trunk related.

If I get a CLK I am getting that option. Of course I need Keyless Go as well if I go that route. If the coupe does get discontinued the next one may have to be the CLK if I am in the Coupe mood.

Ordering the motor is a problem since it has not been made for any clk. MCCWIN2kMAN, are you ordering your clk anytime with the trunk closer?

Won't be for a year or two. Need a diferent new car next year and the wife loves the coupe too much to get rid of it yet. Just future thinking..... I would assume the CLK trunk is probably closest to the C CLass. Or is this option available in Euro Fashioned C's?

i would love to have this mod for the hatchback. but my trunk release button on my key only unlocks the trunk i still i have to lift it.
