battery drain from an extra fuse?

battery drain from an extra fuse?
I switched my front SAM and I noticed that the replacement had a 40A in fuse #60 (my original did not). I looked it up and it said ESP and BAS control unit (N47-5). So I added it and now I'm wondering if that's what caused the battery drain? Seems like it's necessary, but then why wasn't it in my original one?

It shouldn't either. But connect an amp meter and measure it then you won't need to guess

Could the aftermarket Front SAM that I installed be the culprit? It's the only thing that changed from when the battery worked to when the battery didn't. So it's either that extra 40A fuse or the whole Front SAM was bad. Same year, model from a parts shop that pulled it out of a 2005 c230.

Do a short test and post results here.
Also post what the battery drain value is
