Strange relay (?) sound when key in ignition?
Hey!
There is a strange sound coming from the center console when I turn the key to position two. It sounds like a relay or something that is clicking hysterically. I have never heard this on another W203. I filmed it. The car stereo is removed in the clip. The sound was there before I removed it aswell. I have no idea what this is. Anyone got an idea?
Here is the clip: https://1drv.ms/v/s!Akyr0RVlhID7jn7t...ezDVm?e=XmhKS2
Thank you very much in advance guys!

Hey again guys! Sorry for my bad english. The sound is coming from the dashboard not the center console. Found this video, I'm guessing something like that is the problem on my car aswell.
Also you can't unpress the EC rest Button...

Ah, it very well might be an HVAC duct servo. Normally they make a clunk...clunk...clunk sound like that video in post #6. That "clunk" is the sound of the servo motor not stopping and rotating a full 360-degrees, and its control arm snapping in and out of the duct linkage. Yours (in post #1) may be that the entire linkage has broken loose from the servo, and the servo is just rotating around and around freely.
