Help On Speakers???
Hi,
I planned to install some new speakers on my coupe, but some friend told me that is necessary to buy first a speaker adapter. That I allready know but the coupe got 3 speakers on each door.
I got 2 adapters for the front ones ( bass speaker ) and for the rear ones on the door I don't know if they are the same!
I don't know how to remove the door panel to see if it is the same.
I bougth the adapters from phonocar http://www.phonocar.it/english/main_...r-systems.html

I want to know if the adapter is the same for the door rear speaker?
If anyone got pictures about the door panel removal I would like to see it.

Let us know if it sounds better. When I changed speakers to mid-line Polks it actually sounded worse (not that Polks are that great). The only adapter I know that they installer used was a 1/2" ring to make the speaker flush with the grill. People blame the speakers on the coupe but the problem is that crappy chinese radio that MBUSA puts in their C-Class. The rest of the world gets decent Becker units.

I have the audio 10 CD ( I would like to have the command ) I'm from europe!!! 
And what about the adapters, you don't know if they will fit or if they are the same? ( if the speakers where the same probably they will fit )
I will upgrade to FOCAL speakers http://www.focal.tm.fr/gb_index.htm, the best in the class here in europe http://www.focal.tm.fr/gb/car/k2power/165k2p.htm, and a alpine 5 channel amp., and later a sub in the spare wheel space.
I will post some pictures then, but first let me know :p

i'm down with thread...
i used to have bose system on my coupe and now that i don't have it since i changed the car to C230K SS, it's haunting me. I even had a dream about it and said "I miss my bose". I SAY that all the time to my friend, and it's now win my dream.
I heard about Audio10 back when i leased my coupe in 2002, how and where can i buy one? would it sound good with my boring speaker??? or i need all those updated? Audio10 will support the existing changer as well?
so many questions...i need some research...

the rear door speaker is smaller then the front one!
(I read some where that they will be the same size)
I installed for now the driving side front bass speaker.
What adapters did you used?
I posted (I think!!) some pictures (sorry for the bad quality) of the door and speakers

I've just installed my FOCAL speakers only the front ones, and it sounds much much better, but now the speakers are not working full power like the MB ones where.
My next installation is a alpine 5 channel amp. to had full power
