cool feature
REST can be used for 30 minutes in the summer or winter. In the winter, it uses warm coolant to heat the interior. There is a pump that circulates this coolant around the engine to keep it warm from the engine heat. In the summer, the pump is not active. It does not blow warm air but also not very cool air. More like the ambient air from outside. It does bring the interior temps down a couple of degrees but it is NOT like an air conditioner.
There's also 2 other features that I think a lot of people aren't aware of. Even my SA didn't know.
first, if you look closely in your arm rest bottom compartment there is a small knob that you can move to open or close the vent
also you can change the angle of your head rest to go forward or backward.

Wiedermann,
Regarding your "Alarm Chrip" note... I've often heard/read about the "Norway" setting and the elimination of the 'panic' alarm vs. the 'chirp', but have never heard of a Country setting that maintains both.
No disrespect meant but are you sure about that? I would surely like and welcome being able to have both features.

You comment is correct. There is even another thread by Mr Sunman: The Truth about Netherlands Setting regarding the "chirp". In two of my cars, C32 and E-AMG have both features enabled (I have accidently set off the alarm by pressing the panic button, that is how I found out on the E beast). Each country code has its own setting and in the case of Netherlands --which is the correct country code (aka "Norway setting", don't ask me why, lol)-- is "preset" with the settings ie Chirp, interior sensor, etc. European cars built have the capability to have both features enabled.
So far, I have yet to find a US built vehicle that has both features.

Programming Key to open one door
Hi guys,
I tried using the search function but the only thing I could find about programming the remote was how to open/close all the windows. That I already know how to do. What I don't know how to do is to program the key remote so that it only opens the drivers side door. I just moved to a pretty sketchy neighborhood and I think it's safest if only my door were to open.
Does anyone know how to do this? I tried looking in my manual but that was a lost cause since I forgot where I put my manual
Thanks!!!

merged into "cool features" thread.
broken feature?
When I activate tunnel mode, the roof does not move. Maybe it's a programming error since my coupe is an '02. Maybe something is broken. I don't know. I hardly ever drive through tunnels so I won't worry about it. Besides the dealer would probably charge me an arm and a leg to program/fix it. could it just need to be resync'd?
