Instrument cluster recalibration after repair

Mine is a facelift W203, 2007. I had to remove the needles from the meters to replace the faulty LCD.
I set the needles at zero before fixing to the car.
When I connect the cable to the cluster, the needles point below 0 in the speedometer, odometer and the fuel gauge
and the temp gauge just below 40*C.
I tried several times but the result is the same.
Am I missing something in the reset procedure for the instruments?

Any chance you can plug in the cluster with the clear face remove and shift the needles as needed with the engine running?

Also I assume you're referring to a tachometer needle and not an odometer needle?

Did you ever find a solution to this issue? I’m having the same problem as I just replaced my screen and can’t get my needles to line up properly once re-connected. If so, can you let me know what you did? Thanks!

Press needles on gently. Above there zero marks. Plug cluster plug in with ign off. Motors will assume zero postion. Adjust needles to zero position. Then push them down onto shafts
