2001 C240 base fuel problems
Hello my 01 C240 fuel problems
Car was running great till last week when it just died no symptoms went to start no fuel to the fuel rail being an 01 my first thought was fuel pump failure, ordered and replaced fuel pump still no fuel did a voltage check at the pump had momentary battery voltage to the pump but pump did not run (prime) cranked the engine zero voltage to the pump checked the fuses all good replaced the fuel pump relay plugged it in pump primed and engine started ran great for 24 hours thought problem was solved car died again with the exact same symptoms no fuel to rail. during the second troubleshooting the battery died I replaced the battery. I pulled the fuel pump relay and jumpered it to see if the pump would run which it did but still no fuel to rail, so i back tracked and double checked the fuel pump install and discovered the supply line had popped off i reconnected the line making sure it clicked into position. then removed the jumper wire and plugged in the relay with the key in the off position key removed the pump turned on only way pump would shut of is to pull the fuse or relay. how is this possible with the switch key removed please help

Ml320 1999
Can anyone help me I have a ml 320 1999 and I replace the crankshaft position sensor the fuel filter and the fuel pump now the car starts and items perfectly send me PSI fuel pressure and I get smart it starts but the accelerator fails to respond to any depression and it seems that I'm getting no sound in the water or the fuel pump but it still starts but only idles does anyone know what causes the idol like not to respond it's like it's disconnected
