2007 C230 with code P2004

Hi everyone,

I recently replaced the intake manifold on my 2007 C-Class after experiencing some serious issues with the car's performance, however, the vehicle persists on displaying the trouble code P2004 even after erasing it. I've cross-examined the way the swirl flap works on the removed, broken manifold and the way the swirl flap works on the installed, new manifold. My old intake manifold swirl flap snapped into two pieces and the two side arms articulate freely with no resistance. The new manifold's side arms do articulate, but require some pressure as they feel spring loaded. The swirl flap on the new intake manifold is in one piece, my car appears to be operating normally during idle, and there is no noticeable difference in my fuel economy to suggest that there is anything actually wrong with intake manifold runner control or that it is stuck open in bank 1a.

I am a bit confused on how to proceed with this issue. I cannot say for certain that it is tripping the check engine light though as the light was already illuminated for the trouble code P0073. The outside ambient temperature sensor—along with it's wiring harness—had been torn from the vehicle after being dislodged from its position in the front bumper and acquainting itself with the underside of the tire (very unfortunate). If there is any information on the wiring schematics for the ambient temperature sensor or a part number for the sensor and it's wiring harness, I would appreciate help finding it so I can figure that issue out as well.
