Indicator issue
This is my first post. I have a 2003 C230 coupe (recently purchased). My problem is that my indicators only flash 3 times then stop (both sides). Dealers says its just a switch/relay they are waiting for to replace.
My research so far indicates that there is no relay as the indicators are run by the front SAM unit.
Also after reading this thread I am wondering if it is just a simple reset issue as per the setup for the 3 flash lane change to be cancelled???
have you pushed it down past the “tap to pass” feature? If you are, pressing pass the dedent and locking it in the signaling position...further investigation will be needed.
otherwise it (should) blinks three times to indicate a pass or quick lane change when pressed to first resistance point as you’ve indicated.
good luck and welcome

I should have been clearer in original post. It happens all the time wether you tap to pass or fully depress for a turn. The only way to have the indicator stay on is to hold it in position.
most likely will have to change out the stalk.
to clear SRS error, save yourself the $100 and turn the steering wheel full left then right two times (maybe three) from center to calibrate and reset the clock spring.

Unless anyone comes up with a miacle cure it looks like I'll have to replace the stalk.
Thanks for the heads up on SRS error fix.
