2005 C230 Sport Sedan-6 Speed Manual
I am interested in this project, but I have slightly different requirements. I installed a used Kenwood 2-din navigation unit and a steering wheel control adapter in my 2005 C230. I can use my steering wheel buttons to control most functions. I n addition I would like to have the center information screen display the radio station, IPod track information and navigation instructions. Do you think I can adapt your technology for this purpose?

It is an older Kenwood (Model DNX 6180) and it does not have Android capability. It does support an iPod and Bluetooth, but based on your write up I don't think that will provide a way to tap into the data.
Thanks for your response. I will be watching this thread. If I can find a good used 2-din unit that supports Android, I will be considering this "hack." I paid $100 for my Kenwood and it will likely take several years for used Android units reach that price point.
