how did you mount your radar detector?

My passport 8500 is mounted just like that, above the mirror on the passenger side. No issues with radar, but it will impact the laser detection ability of the 8500. Not so much because of the blue tint I believe, but because of the height as the laser is being aimed lower - at your grille or license plate. Not a problem for me as I have the ZR3 laser receiver/jammers mounted in the mesh below the plate.

mine is exactly below the blue band. it has consistently warned me for everything, especially laser. i'm 5-0. yay! i'm not implying being below the blue band had anything to do with it, but having a darker colored car and officers with bad aim has contributed to the V1 detection success. i plan on getting laser mimic in a couple of months.
