LoveMercedes Tour
So I was at the LoveMercedes tour today at the SF bay area. They are again giving away $1500 coupons, this time good for any new cars, not just limited to the C-class (AMG excluded again).
However, the coupon is no longer transferrable, and they write down your name on the card during registration...
The SLK 350 test drive line is WAYYYY too long. I didn't get a chance to drive it. However the CLK500 was nice. Spinning it around the track was fun.

I was there today too, from 1PM till around 5pm. Lots of nice cars ro drivem no c-classes in sight (except for the parking lot). A green "prototype: CLS was on display. the side airbags for the front two seats are on the side of the seat as opposed to being in the door, as they are in volvo and infinitis (i think).
I drove the slk 350 once (automatic). they had two colors to choose from: silver and black. all i can say is WOW!
I also drove a white sl500. it had a warning light saying "Brakes overheated. Drive carefully!"
the food provided was mainly nice sodas, evian water, jamba juice, and lots of cookies. that's it. I havn't checked my sax fifth avenue goodie bag yet, but I think there's a bunch of magazines in it and a black MB hat similar to the c-spot ones.

Was there too. SLK350 is 'WOW'
kinda dissapointed by the CLS. (SMALL)
overall, the Cspot drive event was much better. This one was great because we can test drive all kind of car . The track was fun too.

Also, it seemed taht a lot more people than I expected got warnings for driving recklessly on the tracks. Lots of cones were getting knocked over. Unlike c-spots that I've been to,they actually encourage you to drive as hard as possible (without knocking over cones). THere weren't any AMG cars on display or being driven around on tracks.

Yes, they give all participants a $1500 coupon good till Dec 31st.
Unfortunately, the event in the bay area is already over. It was only on for last weekend (July 30 - Aug 1). You'll have to go to the lovemercedestour website (http://www.lovemercedestour.com/) to see the dates for the other cities.

Anyone started selling those $1500 off coupon yet? I am sure it would be a hotter commoditiy since it now includes more than just the c-class

Yeah, it says it's goot for any C-class, E-class, S-class and M-class (AMG excluded). Don't remember if the G-class was mentioned or not. I'll have to take a look at the coupon again tonight when I return from work.
And yes, it does specifically state that it's non-transferrable - guess all the Ebaying got to them.
