Question about Command

When you are using your command system, can you move from one field to the other using the arrows on the Steering wheel?
I tried it on a coupe in the dealer showroom and it didnt work..

Any thoughts?

Nope, doesn't work. You can only control sound system and telephone functions after switching to that section yourself.................... But to tell you the truth, i haven't even read the manual yet!!!

Cool Sub menus/fields

Good question-after a less than sterling briefing by the salesman on system operation, I have spent considerable time with and without manual in hand....and with help from folks on the board trying to sort out COMAND procedures. As far as I can determine, you can use the wheel + and - buttons to scroll thru sub menus displayed in the instrument cluster-for example the "settings" call up. However, moving thru the screen fields can only be done with the lower right function select toggle/knob. Good luck-not exactly intuitive, but fun to play with.

I think Silver-lana is talking about the COMMAND or navigation system.

Unhappy So am I

What I was trying to explain is that the wheel control has some scrolling functions-but the Nav screen has to be moved thru the available fields with the control toggle. In short you can't move thru Nav field from the wheel.
