How many C coupes are still here?
It has a manual transmission and leather seats. I don't need another car, so I thought I would pass this one along in case someone is interested in joining the coupe club.
Edit - I figured out how to post a link.
This is our second white 2004. The first one, my wife never let me live it down that we sold it. So for Christmas a few years ago, I surprised her with the exact spec 2004 with only 33k miles. Well she never drives it because it doesn't have backup cameras, lane sensors etc. Sick of paying insurance on it and she has agreed to sell it. Let me know if anyone is interested. It now has 40,200 miles on it and is nearly perfect.
Thanks,
Mike

Sent you a DM for the price.
It's a very clean, leather, CD changer, FL, low mile car. We are the second owners. Feel free to reach out if you would like more details or pictures. We're located in Yulee, FL just north of Jacksonville.
Thanks,
Mike

It advertises nationally on close to 20 different sites, uses a portal to keep the dregs out, they handle the DMV, title, broker the payment and all you do is hand over the keys & car.
It cost me about $175 total and the money was wired to my checking account. They also sell service contracts the buyers can get on your car through a GM owned company. Oh, yea, they offer financing on their site too.

The only issues it's had were a leaking rear main that's been repaired and the secondary air injection pump failed.
I'm really looking for a C320 with a 6 speed but I haven't found any.

There was a guy with one in Texas who drove a long distance commute on an uncrowded road
and was up to 270k miles or more without doing anything to the valves or timing chain,
but he got t-boned and the car was totalled before we could find out how far it woudd go.
But its still a good idea to check the chain periodically for stretch and replace when needed before
it eats the velves and head.
And either here or on benzwolrd, there's a guy who in the last yeae or so tracked down an 05 C320 5 speed.
That would be a good car.. M112 is a great engine.

If not, on the auto, this may sound nuts but I've used this technique many times, swapping
overdrive pulley when under warranty prior to going to shop.
See attached photo. There's 2 openings in the bottom of the trans,
Have someone turn the crank by hand a little at a time, while attempting to insert
say the METAL handle of a 1/2" rachet or other suitable strong metal rod shaped item in there
till it falls in a slot and presses up againt the case locking it. I'm not 100% sure despiite arrow on photo, which hole it is. Put some some tape on it to hold it, and then go for it.
You'll need 27mm deep socket . Once bolt is out, Rock the pulley gently and it will slowly start to come out.
Torque going back is ~110 ft llbs. Be careful not to push the woodruf key back into the engine on reinstall. Make sure the pullley is lined up!!!!
I've done probably 10 times.. No isses. Wish I took some notes, I'm going to be doing this soon to remove pulley from
my 262k mile coupey after all these years.

2006 C200 Kompressor Sportcoupé sport edition
M271.940 — 722.695 auto
UK car, now in the Netherlands
302,000 km almost 9 years ownership for me previous was one lady owner with full Mercedes service history.
Quick background
This car hasn’t been abused or run into the ground — it’s been maintained properly over time:
- Full timing kit (2020)
- Chain/guides refresh (2023)
- Regular servicing throughout
April 2026 — Major refresh
Biggest month this car has ever had:
- New Denso alternator (finally killed a long-term whine)
- Full belt drive refresh (INA pulleys + Gates belt)
- New INA chain tensioner
- Oil service (Shell Helix Ultra 5W-40 + MoS2)
- Cooling system flush + new expansion tank/cap
- EGR blanked
- Intake cleaned + resonator delete
- Supercharger removed, resealed (RTV failure at snout joint), refilled with proper oil
Everything validated with live data.
Engine is mechanically healthy for the mileage.
What’s next
- Harmonic balancer
- AC compressor pulley bearing
- Cam adjusters
Driving now
After all this:
- Smooth idle
- No belt oscillation
- Strong pull for what it is
- Supercharger sounds as it should
- Feels tight again, not like a worn-out car
Next step
65mm supercharger pulley ready to go on once front end is sorted. Mild increase only, staying within safe limits.
