Still rolling around town here. Car has been very reliable past the 200k km mark other than the fuel pump which is expected, and ignition coils (3 of 4 died so far). People still compliment me on the smooth ride.

sounds like the starter to me. There is a starter relay as well that can fail you can locate it and swap with another one in the box to see if it will turn over.
also you can jump the poles at the starter with a screwdriver see it if turns believe or not that old trick still works on modern cars.
I'm driving an 07 c230. Manual 6 speed. I am in love with the car and looking to make some more power to whoop some *** in the streets 😁😁😁
if anyone can point me in the right direction to start making descent power out of this fun little car.
Thanks guys!
I have a MY '02 C 230 coupe black/black with 22K original miles. Bought it a little over a year ago with 17K miles. I happened to be at my dealer when it was traded and I just couldn't resist it. Added some period correct CLK aluminum wheels and went plus one with some Michelin AS 3's. Replaced the original AM/FM radio with a pioneer touch screen with Sirius, bluetooth, Apple car play, HD radio, etc. It fits perfectly and looks OEM. The car is as close to dead new as an 18 year old car can be. Still shiny underneath. Bought it as a toy but my wife loves driving it.
I just bought mine in December of 2018 from my neighbor who is the original owner, 2003 with 115k on the clock. Getting it ready for my daughter who starts driving in 3 months. Just need to swap in a new brake pad sensor and Apple Carplay radio and its good to go. Just upgraded wheels to 07 Sport wheels.

VERY NICE, ......... your daughter must be thrilled.
My coupe died yesterday, well, don't think its worth fixing unfortunately. Any ideas of whats wrong would be appreciated, or point me in the right direction for where to ask for advice.
Nice wheels and choice of colour. How many km on the car?
Any CEL? If so, use a code reader and post the code(s) here.
Might be something as simple as a failed ignition coil or spark plug which is a cheap fix. If the timing chain failed and jumped a tooth then the engine is toast. Personally I'm leaning towards the ignition coils which are a maintenance item (just like spark plugs) on any engine. They tend to die around the 200k mark.

YES! BUT, ..................... The miles are not terribly high and if it is only a minor issue, why not have it taken care of? The car still looks GREAT!!!!
