I made the same decision regarding a second key. The cost was high, but the potential costs in both time and money of having my only key fail led me “bite the bullet” and order a key.

Your son’s car looks great and it sounds like your revival process is going well.

Thanks very much Kevin. Yes, after spending a few hours and dollars, the car has come along very nicely!
Agreed on the key, not cheap, but definitely a must have.

What is a new key running these days through the dealership?

Purchased a used Rear Bumper Support Bar as well as Rear Bumper Cover on eBay and took the car to my Buddy's Bodyshop, so he can do his magic and align everything again properly.

As can be seen on the pics, Bumper is cracked on the Passenger side. Support Bar is bend on Passenger side as well, which obviously caused the bumper to shift.

Just picked up from the Body Shop.
New Rear Bumper Support Bar and new Rear Bumper Cover purchased used for 300 bucks on eBay.
Painted to match and reinstalled for 450 bucks. So, for 750 bucks, the rear now as well looks as new.

All that is left is new tint and the car is where it needs to be.

Car is really looking good! Does it have the stock suspension on it? Looks lower than most I have seen. Maybe its the difference between the sport vs non sport trims.

Thank you very much.
Yes, the car has come a long way and with only a little over 60K miles, should hopefully last a very long time.

With exception of the Kliemann Exhaust, the car is completely stock and it is the lower Sport Suspension, which comes factory.

Today, I had the old tint removed and the car got new tint all around. Looks a lot better without the ugly bubbles.
