Reading the manual, saw mirrors--"electrolyte"? What is it?
So, I was reading the manual for my 05 C230K SS, and I saw that they had a bunch of disclaimers and warnings of an "electrolyte" leakage from the mirrors in case of damage. Has this always been in auto-dimming mirrors, or is this a new legal disclaimer? What is this stuff? The descriptions sound like it's bad ****...

The self dimming mirrors contain a liquid that is poisonous. Therefore, they need to disclose that if the mirrors were to break, not to touch or drink ( ?? ) the liquid that can leak out.

In the back of your auto-dimming mirror is a pouch of electrolytes that will darken to reduce glare when you apply current. However, I'm not sure about the content of the pouch.

Ok, cool thanks. I guess they never disclosed this on the older models with self dimming mirrors, or I never noticed it.

i have an old W211 mirror that is melted on the top and the fluid leaks out if you wanna taste it carlos. ill bring it to the meet on Aug 21 with the crackers.
