What did I break after removing steering wheel?
When I did a recent heater core I had to remove the steering wheel. When I removed the clock spring I wonder if I damaged something.
I'm getting ECS and SRS errors that can't be cleared. MBII gives these errors: n49 steering sensor internal fault, drivers airbag squib 1&2 resistance too high, fault in CAN with steering column module, fault in CAN with multifunction control module, fault in CAN with upper control module.
The errors sound like bad connections. I've checked multiple times, including pulling off the ucp to verify connections. I've recentered the clock spring. I've removed the column cover and reassembled to verify connections.
Before I drop $300 for a new clock spring it would be good to know if I'm headed the right direction.
