CL203 headlight lens
Hello all, I have a 2005 Sportcoupe, the headlight cover needs to be replaced on both sides. I thought I just had to polish them, I later realized the are dirty inside too.
I can easily find the W203 sedan lens cover, are these compatible with the coupe?
Thanks!

No- I replaced the lenses on my sedan. When I was searching for the lenses I remember reading that the lights on the coupes and sedans are different.

The W203 coupe and sedan headlights are definitely different.
Be careful, many places/sellers advertise that the headlights fit all "C230 cars" - they do not.
Also, the same is true for just about anything body related, even with roof racks. The coupe is wider. Why? Ask MB, not me. :-)
Good Luck!

The really dumb thing is that the dealer does not sell the lenses separately as the headlights come as a completed assembly from the supplier. Not sure who makes the 2005+ lenses. For the pre-facelift vehicle, Hella makes both the halogens and bi-xenon versions. You might be able to get somewhere by contacting a local authorized distributor.
The lens covers can be removed with a bit of heat from either a toaster oven or hair dryer. If they're dirty, just do a meticulous cleaning job. If they're yellow or scratched too badly, you're probably looking at a wrecker.
