W203 preface lift side mirrors

Hi, can anyone help?
i have an old 2001 w203 saloon elegance, I’ve made a lot of changes to how the car looks like adding a amg c32 interior, amg wheels, amg body kit etc.
The mirrors I have are very basic and don’t even fold in at all, even if I physically fold them in as they just pop back out.
Does anyone know if I can swap the mirror for manually folding mirrors or even better electric folding mirrors?
Do I need to change any control units etc?
many thanks

Electric folding mirrors require new door modules and a different switch (the panel that also has the headlight dial, which will have the buttons to fold the mirrors), as well as some programming with the Star computer. A wrecker will be your best bet. Additional wiring may be needed but I wouldn't know.

You didn't mention where you're located. I don't think the folding mirror option was even offered in North America. It definitely wasn't for my car. You're probably looking at eBay.

There are no manually folding mirrors for the W203 that I know of.

Thank you for your reply,
the thing is I already have the wing mirrors and I also have the door control module that go with the wing mirrors, I bought two second hand doors that had everything on, the doors I purchased are from a facelift model and mine is a pre facelift, does that matter?
if not it sounds like all I need is the controls that are by the steering wheel and someone to reset the computer, is that correct?
I'm in the uk not US 👍

Sounds about right, but maybe someone else can chime in.

I am not sure if the modules changed between facelift and non facelift. The easiest way to check I think would be to look at the connectors.

I miiiiiiiggght take this on.
Maybe.

Always said I wouldn’t as there’s really no need here in the burbs of Buffalo...

But. I have to swap my passenger door...and I want to replace the driver pull handle...so...

I’m also doing something a bit odd anyway. I’m getting prefacelift aftermarket turn signals...and I’m going to try and fit them to faceliftet mirror caps...
