Question on the Smart Key
Does the smart key unlock the door while you apporach the car? I tried search but didn't find any direct answer on this question.

I dont understand the question?? it does not automatically unlock the door of course, but it does have a long range

2003 Citron Green C230KMT
if you press the unlock button on the key. its not keyless go so the car wont unlock itself when you touch the door handle.

u just answered my question. I thought the smart key is aliked the one in Lexus and Infiniti FX35 that you can leave the key in your pocket and once you in close range with the car the door will automatically unlock itself.

that would be keyless go and not an option on a US Spec C-Class.
