New here and needing some help

I have a 2007 c230 with a 722.9 and I need to know how to relearn the range sensor and will I have to have a star tool to do that or is it possible using a FVDI? any help will be greatly appreciated. Thanks

I'm not familiar with this.
Can you explain a little?
What and why does the range sensor need to be relearned?

I had a new valve body and conductor plate installed and coded, but on the autel it says that the range sensor needs to be relearned or signal is implausible? After checking around on google I have read that you need a star tool to relearn the range sensor, but I'm not sure. Any ideas would be helpful. thanks.

not a merc
Best is to use xentry. And yes range selector needs to be learnt. If FVDI has the option then try it if you don't have access to xentry
