M271 kompressor serpentine belt snapped

Good day.
Has anyone ever had a new serpentine belt that broke? What could cause this? A faulty kompressor or ac pump?
Ive installed a new serpentine belt and it snapped in less that 5 seconds.

If it was installed properly (ie all grooves lined up), sounds like you got a defective one.

Did you stick to the OEM quality brands such as Continental or Gates, from a reputable supplier? Hopefully you didn't pick up some eBay or Amazon knockoff.

Yes i used a Continental one. (7pk2420) it didn't have any cracks. I've asked a local mechanic the said its my supercharger that could be faulty.

One (big) assumption I made was that all of your pulleys were working properly (spinning freely) as of the time you pulled off the old belt.

What was the original reason for changing the belt? Did the old belt fail by snapping?

Yes all pulleys are spinning freely. I changed the belt because it snapped while I was driving home 5min after start up.
